Apple gift cards — App Store, iTunes, or the combined Apple Gift Card — are among the most common cards sitting unused in Bangladesh. They arrive as gifts, as refunds, as client payments, and then sit there because the person holding them does not have an Apple ID that can spend them.
Region is not a detail here, it is the product
An Apple ID can only redeem a gift card issued for its own country. A US card will not load onto a Bangladeshi or Indian Apple ID, and there is no workaround that survives contact with Apple’s systems. This is stricter than most brands, and it is exactly why the region determines the value.
If you do not know which region your card belongs to, do not guess. The card itself, or the email it arrived in, will say. One photo settles it.
E-code or physical card
Both are tradeable, but they are not equivalent:
- E-codes settle fastest. The code is checked, the balance confirmed, and payment follows within minutes.
- Physical cards need clear photos of both sides and an intact scratch panel. If the panel is damaged or partly rubbed away, the code may be unreadable and the card may be worth nothing at all — so photograph carefully and do not scratch harder to “fix” it.
What actually moves the rate
There is no fixed percentage for Apple cards and anyone quoting you one before knowing the details is guessing. What matters:
- The region, above everything else.
- Whether the card is completely unused. Partial balances are much harder to place and often cannot be bought at all.
- Whether you have the purchase receipt.
- The denomination — round, common values move faster.
- What the market is doing that day. Demand genuinely swings.
Checking your card before you ask
Two things are worth confirming yourself first, because both change the conversation:
- Is it unused? A card that has already been redeemed onto someone’s Apple ID has no value to anyone. If you are not certain, say so honestly rather than discovering it mid-deal.
- Is the code fully legible? For physical cards especially. A partly obscured code is a problem worth flagging up front.
The sequence that keeps you safe
Describe the card, get a rate in writing, agree it, then send the code — in that order, every time. The balance is verified while you wait, and payment goes out by bKash, Nagad, Rocket or bank transfer as soon as it clears. If a buyer wants the code before agreeing a number, that is your signal to stop.
Not sure what you are holding?
Send a screenshot. Nine times out of ten the brand, region and denomination can be identified from one picture, and you will get the value in the same reply. Start on the sell page or message directly.
